Based in the Terrasses du Larzac, in Puéchabon not far from Aniane, on pebble and red clay soils, Pierre Vaïsse is a young winemaker who started with only 2 ha of vines in 2007. Sponsored by Frédéric Pourtalié (Montcalmès) and Laurent Vaillé (Grange des Pères), he makes a point of ageing his wines for a long time (24 months for the reds) to give them a velvety fleshiness and a silkiness of tannins that are unusual. We place a lot of hope in this young estate whose production, still confidential, is bound to increase, and which already shows an impressive mastery, in red as in white. The vintages have left the AOC sphere and are now all declared as IGP Pays d'Hérault.
