LE CIRQUE DE L'INFERNET

The Cirque de l’Infernet is an enormous natural wall. Its impressive cliffs enclose the upstream stretch of the Gellone valley. A track was built to reach the mountains around Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert. It allows you to reach absolutely amazing viewpoints. It closes off the Gellone valley in the west with landscapes forming our "World's End". The white walls of the limestone massif reach a height of 535 metres... more than 400 metres above the waters of the Verdus. The emotions aroused by the splendour of the landscapes seen from here are indescribable.
