PARC EOLIEN DU CAUSSE D'AUMELAS

A wind farm of 31 wind turbines has been installed, in 3 phases, on the territory of the hills of La Moure, located in part on the territory of the Community of Communes of the Herault Valley. Discovering these steel giants is a first step towards a reflection on our energy consumption, exhaustible energy and renewable energy. Natura 2000 site, this site presents a remarkable ecological interest of the Mediterranean ecosystems. Moreover, the view from the wind farm allows to contemplate and understand in part the formation of different types of landscapes. In partnership with the Languedoc Roussillon Region, the Communauté de Communes de la Vallée de l'Hérault and EDF Renouvelables, the association Demain la Terre! has been coordinating and leading awareness and educational actions on the Aumelas wind farm since 2007.
